If you're looking for delicious banh mi sandwiches with refreshing tea in the Inner Sunset of San Francisco then check out this spot. b&b also know as Banh Mi & Boba is a small shop that you could easily walk pass on 1634 Irving St. in San Francisco between 18th Ave & 17th Ave. They have a wide selection of drinks plus sandwiches which gives customers plenty of options. Inside you'll find some bar seating on the sides and a giant menu. As always Liz from @bobaiswhyimbroke went with the Jasmine Milk Tea right off the bat with boba. I decided on the Thai Milk Tea with boba as well. The drinks can either come in the sizes of regular for $4 or large for $5. The employee told me they make the Thai Milk Tea in small batches to keep the quality fresh and offered me a sample to see if I would like the sweetness level. From the sample I had the Thai Milk Tea wasn't too sweet, it was at the right level for me as I usually go for 50% sweetness in most drinks at other boba tea shops. Liz was also fine with her drink and we all know how picky she can be with her Jasmine Milk Tea. For their milk teas, b&b uses Strauss Organic Milk and organic cane sugar for the other drinks on the menu. The boba is also made fresh every three hours to make sure the boba is at their "perfect chewiness" for their drinks. Now onto the sandwiches, I had Five Spiced Chicken Banh Mi ($8.25) that had house made five spice chicken and a b&b special soy. Liz went for the b&b Special Combo Banh Mi ($8.50) that had house roasted pork, fancy pork loaf, headcheese, pate, and b&b special soy. Both banh mi sandwiches were filled with juicy meat, cucumbers, pickled vegetables, and the baguette had a nice crunch to the outside layer with fluffy bread inside. The employee told us that they received fresh baguettes daily, the sauce is made in house, and all their meats are slow roasted. Overall I enjoyed both drinks and banh mi sandwiches. For those that don't consume meat they have a Fried Tofu (Vegetarian) banh mi with fried tofu in house and green sauce for $8.25.
